- At present working as Manager in the Energy Analysis Division of Hagler Bailly Pakistan (HBP), Islamabad, Pakistan. HBP is an associate of hagler Bailly Inc., USA and specializes in providing energy and environmental consulting services. My responsibilities include (a) providing financial, marketing and strategic inputs to energy sector projects, (b) managing projects related to financial analysis and energy, (c) providing finacial and organizational inputs to administration.

- Was head of equity research at Westminster and Eastern Financial Services (WEFS), Karachi, Pakistan. WEFS is a brokerage house with a seat on the Karachi Stock Exchange. - Project leader on financial and market study to determine feasibility of setting up a health resort in Saudi Arabia for making a rational decision on the proposal.
- Main consultant on financial and market study of setting up a bank’s branches in various areas of Riyadh which was used as a basis of the business plan of the bank.
- Prepared independently a valuation of two retail companies and one financial company in Saudi Arabia for the purpose of acquisitions.
- Team member on market and financial study of personal insurance in Saudi Arabia that was used by a major bank to determine its strategy in this area.
- Team member on market survey and feasibility of a casual dining restaurant chain in Dammam which enabled the company to turn down the investment proposal.

- Prepared independently a valuation of Malam Jabba Tourist Resort for the Privatization Commission that formed the basis of the Government’s evaluation of tender offers.
- Main consultant on preparation of financial feasibility and placement document of a private hydro-electric power station in Pakistan which was used to solicit investments as a basis for agreement between sponsors.
- Prepared a feasibility study and tariff calculations for a fuel oil fired power station on BOOT basis for a new private power project.
- Prepared an analysis of the affect of finalization delays on the tariff of a private sector power project for use by the Government in negotiations.
- Assisted in analysis of the financial aspect of power projects bid documents submitted to the Government of Pakistan to help the Government choose bids.
- Prepared independently feasibility studies for cotton sector for investment decision purposes and as a basis of securing debt financing for projects. Feasibilities included textile weaving units producing gray cloth, integrated textile plant for producing denim cloth from cotton fiber and hosiery units.
- Main consultant for valuation study and bid preparation of Mustehkam Cement Limited which resulted in a tender offer by the client in the privatization auction.
Strategy Projects
- As member of the management prepared a discussion papers on the strategic directions possible for a brokerage house in Pakistan. The paper was the basis of a discussion that led to significant changes in the direction of the firm.
- Team member of a study for a bank on opening further branches in Riyadh. The study suggested a new direction for the bank based on market survey findings.
- Prepared an analysis of infrastructure based opportunities in the Gulf for company strategy purposes and a brochure explaining infrastructure privatization for service marketing in Saudi Arabia.
- Prepared a draft strategy for the management of a financial company while working as a financial analyst there.
